The significance of the little things

A while back, I woke up thinking about thread.

Encouraging image of thread

That long, thin strand.

A mere piece of string. Thin, fragile, often overlooked and insignificant.

Yet that small, insignificant thread is what holds everything together.

Weaves it into one.

Heals, restores and mends.

Makes the old new, again.

How powerful that small piece of thread.

That very thin piece of fibre that holds it all together.

What is holding you?

Note to self:

  • Small does not mean insignificant

  • Worth is not always defined by abundance

  • A little still has impact

  • Don't underestimate the little victories

  • Don't despise the little progress

  • Don't belittle the little ideas

Because everything starts small and feeds into something greater.

"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin..."

Zechariah 4:10 (NLT)
