Living with intentionality - Interview with Clear and Candid

It was a pleasure to speak with Stephanie from Clear and Candid for this interview below. We discussed Words of Faith, 2020 lessons, visions for the future and so much more!

Faith Olajuyigbe

Faith Olajuyigbe is a spoken word performer, dramatist and author. Her debut poetry book, Words of Faith, became an Amazon best seller within its first week of publishing. The collection debuted at number three in the Christian Poetry category as well as reaching the Top Ten status in the Inspirational and Religious Poetry category amongst the likes of John Milton and Rupi Kaur. Through her riveting poetry, she delves into topics ranging from love and life to faith and purpose.

Today we shine the #CCSpotlight on this beauty and have a little chat with her about her book, 2020 and intentionality.

What is Words of Faith and how did you come about it?

Words of Faith is my debut poetry book, featuring a collection of poems written to challenge growth. I’d say the idea to publish a book has always been with me and I began working on writing more during my final year of University. It was only over a year later, when I lost my job that the vision and blueprint for Words of Faith was truly born.

What do you listeners to take away from your platform?

Hope and inspiration. The world is saturated with so much bad news, I just want to shine my light and be a voice that brings a different message. I want people to listen to my poems and feel encouraged to seek more.

We are almost saying goodbye to 2020. What will you say is the biggest lesson you've learnt from this unique year?

Biggest lesson I’ve learnt is to enjoy every present moment. Cherish what you have now and live without fear or anticipation of the future. Plan, but give room to plans failing. Keep the faith and remain hopeful in every circumstance!

What do you think 'living with intentionality' means to you?

To me this means living with purpose. Ensuring everything I do fulfils my intended purpose. I don’t want life to just pass me by or fall into doing just anything. It means being mindful of where I am right now and taking the steps that’ll bring me to my intended goals. Knowing that life is short and the tomorrow I keep waiting for is never promised...
